That force is pretty vanilla, and you don't have anything air-based, and the LRMBT is a bit heavy to keep heaving out of the old lander whenever his nibs wants to make planetfall to nick something. I mean, you could - and my own IG are a RT entourage - but to my mind a RT IG force should be two things: kinky and airmobile. What you have there is a solid base for a lot of themes.Īctually, I wouldn't do a rogue trader entourage with that lot. I mean, 1 chimera between 4 platoons is a bit light for an Armageddon Steel Legion unit, but that setup works perfectly fine for the Cadian 26543rd or the 2nd Allandarosian Fusileers or whatever narrative you dream up.

I'm not concerned as to whether it would perform well under current game meta, but I would like to construct a list out of units that have been legal in some IG codex at some point in time. Going forward I'd like to make future purchases in a way that lets me put together a thematically sound Guard force ("yes, it makes sense that this unit, with this tactical and strategic purpose, would be fielding these troops together"). This has led to a very ad-hoc selection of models. I have a (very WIP) Imperial Guard* army, which I'm collecting through the scrounging method: odd lots off of eBay, repurposing other models, etc.
